FIELD: transport engineering and other fields of operation where storage batteries are used. SUBSTANCE: gear wheel is additionally installed on axle in drive of vehicle bogie with electric motor or with internal combustion engine, and extensible pneumatic cylinder is installed in bogie housing. Gear wheel is fitted on rod. Gear wheel has pointed teeth at side of spring space of pneumatic cylinder. Pedal-brake is installed on its rod at side of piston space. Spaces are connected by bypass pipe. Gear wheel with pointed teeth installed on rod of pneumatic cylinder transmits at braking the torque from gear wheel fitted on bogie axle to gear wheel fitted on shaft of electric generator Current generated at braking is used for charging the storage batteries.
