The friction compensation method involves adding a friction compensation value (RK) to the setting value provided by the regulator (R) by comparing the actual and required positions of the throttle. The compensation value has a positive or negative value, for increasing or decreasing the setting value from the regulator when a throttle sticking condition, or a throttle oscillating condition is detected.
