<p>When a magnetic field is applied the magnetic fluid (3) is excited, interrupting the flow path from at least one gas inlet (2) to one or more gas outlets (6) in a gastight manner. Without the application of a magnetic field gas flows through the path. The fluid state (5) is so adjusted at the gas inlet and outlet that when the inlet and outlet are opened fluid has gas flowing through it. The magnetic field on opening at least one gas inlet and/or one gas outlet acts in such a direction and strength on the fluid that the latter is displaced in the area of the inlet and/or outlet so that gas without flowing through the fluid can pass directly from the inlet to the outlet. The valve is a 2/2 path valve or a multi-path valve.</p> |
