FIELD: railway transport; movable traction power plants. SUBSTANCE: power of vehicle under travelling conditions is supplied from primary engine to hydraulic transmission and further on to running wheels which provides shunting and train operation. Under operating conditions, when vehicle must drive rolling stock units connected with vehicle at stabilized speeds and increased traction force, power is conveyed to running wheels through controlled drive consisting of interconnected driving member, control system and actuating member. Power source driven by primary engine can be made in form of electric generator to serve as power supply source for external consumers. Controlled drive can be built around electric generator which sets into operation an electric motor through control system, or hydraulic pump which sets into operation a hydraulic motor also through control system.
