<p>The windscreen wiper blade has a backing strip which supports the blade wiper unit, which has an approximately T-section profile and is made of synthetic material. The head of the T is carried in a channel which forms part of the backing strip. The main backing strip is supported in the wiper arm by a number of small tabs which are arranged along the length of it and extend perpendicular to the main blade axis. The design is inexpensive to manufacture and the design permits the blade to accommodate a curved windscreen surface.</p> |
