A roller blind component for accommodating a roller blind box (3), consists of a thin walled, self supporting, one piece component. The component pref. consists of a steel sheet (1) which has a profile which can accommodate the necessary static load. The component pref. has a polystyrene or polyurethane foam sound or heat insulating member between the wall and a reinforcing member.
