PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean periodically stains on an optical disk, a disk drive and an optical head due to dust by providing a means integrating a summed-up use time from a former cleaning time and establishing the cleaning time of a driving means, and the means cleaning the driving means based on the established cleaning time. SOLUTION: A computer 30 judges the presence of the dirt due to dust of the optical heads in first, second disk drives 15, 16 based on an output signal from a cleaning time establishment means 50 and the dirt of the optical disk in an optical disk cartridge 11 based on the output signal from a stain detection means 60. A cleaning cartridge 40 is the same format as the cartridge 11, and cleans the stains on the optical heads in the disk drives 15, 16. A cleaning roller is formed by soft raw material for cleaning the optical head. An integration means 51 integrates an energizing time of a storage device 1, and a cleaning interval setting means 52 sets a cleaning interval based on an integrated energized time to output it to the computer 30. |
