PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent jamming and the deviation of an image, caused by the fact that a recording material does not reach a resist roller, in a moving platen type image forming device. SOLUTION: A motor 15 is rotated forward so that an original platen 3 is retreated to a scan starting position in the direction of an arrow K1, through a first clutch 16 and a paper feeding roller 6 is rotated through a second clutch 17, top feed the recording material P in a paper feeding cassette 5 top the resist roller 7. When the original plate 3 reaches the scan starting position, but the recording material P does not reach the roller 7, the first clutch 16 is let out so that the original platen 3 stands by at the scan starting position and the feeding of the recording material P by the feeding roller 6 is continued. When the recording material P reaches the roller 7, the second clutch 17 is let out to stop the feeding roller 6, the first clutch 16 is let in and the motor 15 is moved backward to start a scanner operation on the direction of an arrow K2. Since the recording material P always reaches the roller 7, when this operation is started, the deviation of the image, etc., never occur. |
