PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming method which speeds up image formation on a recording medium. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor 1, developing units 2a-2d for toners in four separate colors, an intermediate transfer body 3, a transfer belt 4, and a corotron transfer unit 5 are provided in a transfer part. The intermediate transfer body 3 serves as a first transfer device, and the transfer belt 4 and corotron transfer unit 5 serves as a second transfer device. Here, when the toners in the plurality of colors are transferred to the intermediate transfer body 3 serving as the first transfer device, the transfer belt 4 and corotron transfer device 5 as the second transfer device starts transfer to the recording medium during the transfer of the toner in the final color to the intermediate transfer body 3. Thus image formation on the recording medium is accelerated. |
