PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with which the work of branching a wire can be performed safely and rapidly, without peeling the inner and outer covers of a VVF cable. SOLUTION: A connector comprises contacts 1, 1 made of metallic plates and an insulative main body 2, and the contact 1 has two notches 11, 11 cutting the insulative outer and inner sheathes of cables 3, 3' and inserted to bake contact with one of conductors 33 in each cable, and has cutting blades 13, 13 formed near the notches to cut the cable into right and left parts from the middle of its large-diameter side width W; the notches 11, 11 are slightly inclined so that when inserted into the cables, they press the conductors 33, 33 in the cable in a mutually separating direction, and the main body 2 has two grooves 21, 22 for inserting the cables and comprises two half main-body components 2a, 2b freely foldably connected together, one main-body component 2a being provided with a cover 26 which is connected to slots 23, 23 into which the contacts 1, 1 are inserted, in such a way that the cover 26 is freely foldable from the main-body component. |
