PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet motor with little noise and vibration by reducing the cogging torque, in a permanent magnet motor comprising a rotor where annular permanent magnets constitute an even pieces of magnetic poles at roughly equal intervals, and a stator having teeth and a yoke. SOLUTION: Annular permanent magnets 2 form a rotor 1, constituting m pieces of magnetic poles, and T pieces of teeth 4 opposite to the prominent magnet are positioned at unequal intervals, and windings 5 are applied in the grooves (slot) for winding among the teeth and teeth, and the teeth is coupled with a yoke 6 so as to comprise a stator 3. Defining that the least common multiple of M and T is C and that N is an integer from 1 to T/2, the center of the slot open of the stator at this time is biased by±N×180/ C(T/2+1)} deg. from the position where they are arranged at equal intervals divided in T equal parts.
