<p>1414998 Unsaturated polyester compositions DR BECK & CO AG 29 Nov 1972 [2 Dec 1971] 55167/72 Heading C3P A moulding composition comprises the following ingredients: (a) 30 to 40% by weight of the total of a polyester component consisting of or including a halogen-free unsaturated polyester containing cyclic imide groups with a cyclic imide group nitrogen content of at least 0À3% by weight of the polyester; (b) 5 to 25% by weight of the total of aluminium hydroxide; and (c) 35 to 65% by weight of the total of melamine and/or ammeline and/or ammelide and/or cyanuric acid, the percentages totalling 100%. In the examples the compositions comprise unsaturated polyesters prepared from propylene glycol, maleic anhydride, tetrahydrophthalic anhydride, N-#-hydroxyethyltetrahydrophthalic imide, neopentyl glycol, glycerol, trimethylolpropane, and adipic acid, hydroquinone, benzoquinone, styrene, cobalt octoate, aluminium hydroxide, methylethylketone hydroperoxide, dimethyl phthalate and melamine. They are cured and moulded.</p> |
