<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely grasp the situation of integration by surrounding a periphery by means of monitors constituted of photoelectric conversion elements in area sensors constituted of photoelectric conversion elements. SOLUTION: The monitors 3 and 4 are arranged in an L-form by avoiding a part where horizontal transfer registers 21a and 21b and black reference picture elements 14 and 15 exist in the peripheries of the area sensors 1 and 2. Thus, it can be prevented that the monitors 3 and 4 are detached from the valid picture elements of the area sensors 1 and 2 and the monitors 3 and 4 are largely deviated from viewing places. Furthermore, the increase of a chip area owing to the arrangement of the monitors 3 and 4 so that the whole area sensors 1 and 2 are surrounded can be avoided. Since the integration situation of the picture elements for a wide range can be grasped and the integration of the area sensors can be controlled by the monitors, a possibility that the picture elements are saturated is suppressed.</p> |
