PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the magnetic permeability of a high-frequency region and to improve output by adequately adjusting the compsn. ratios of ferrite to be used for the core material of a magnetic head and adequately setting crystalline magnetic anisotropic energy. SOLUTION: The gap-facing surfaces 1a, 1b of cores 1, 1 are joined via a nonmagnetic material and a magnetic gap G is formed. The area of the gap- facing surfaces 1a, 1b is <=300μm<2> and high-density recording is possible. The tape sliding surface of the (100) face at the crystal plane of single crystal ferrite is the β bearing of the (110) face. The excellent wear resistance is, therefore, obtd. and the moving speed of the magnetic head relative to a recording medium necessary for recording high-frequency signals is improved. The surfaces 1b, 1b inclining with the gap-facing surfaces and a magnetic path direction are formed and joining glass 2 is packed as a joining material therebetween, by which both cores 1, 1 are joined. A tensile stress is slightly applied in the magnetic path direction of the cores 1, 1 near the gap G by the difference in the coefft. of thermal expansion between the glass and the ferrite and the magnetoelastic energy is made negative. |
