<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording/reproducing device capable of repeatedly video recording independently of the remaining tape, even though the tape is not exchanged. SOLUTION: When the tape end is detected by an end sensor 15 connected to a control circuit 11 in the midst of the video recording operation of a certain program on the video recording mode, an output signal of 'H' level is produced and inputted to the control circuit 11. On the endless repeat video recording mode, the start of tape unwinding operation is instructed in the control circuit 11 by the output signal from the end sensor 15, after advanced to the unwinding mode. When the unwinding operation is made up to the beginning of the cassette tape 16, the tape end is detected again from the end sensor 15, and a servo system is controlled by the control circuit 11 to stop the tape in this state. Thus, the video recording operation of the program is continued from the beginning position of the cassette tape 16 without ejecting the cassette tape 16 from a VTR.</p> |
