PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a display device to the installed while reducing the depth to the minimum and saving the space in the corner of a room, by constituting the device to that it may be provided with a display external side face along the horizontal viewing angle of a projecting optical path, also tilting a screen forward, and specifying the relation of a screen width where the orthogonal projection of the horizontal viewing angle is nearly of right angle in a top view and the depth for the installation in the room corner. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a outer shell 6 along the horizontal angleαof an enlarging/projecting optical path, and the outside shape by the top view is constituted of a trapezoid, or a hexagon obtained by combining a rectangle with the base of the trapezoid, and also, the depth is reduced to the minimum, that is, at installing the device in the room corner, the screen surface is tilted so that a distance D between the screen surface and the room corner may be up to half the screen width W. When the horizontal viewing angleαcomes close to a right angle, the distance D comes close to 1/2×W, but, the horizontal viewing angleαis about 70 deg. by a single projecting tube in the present circumferences, then, the device is not installed in contact with the room corner 7. Thus, it is preferable to tilt the screen forward at a forward tilt angle >=25 deg. when the horizontal viewing angleα=70 deg. is established.
