PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct in real time the processing characteristic and its relative parameter in order to maximize the effect to a user of a hearing aid and to always improve the clarity of spoken words against the environmental noises by using a device which programs the hearing aid containing a digital signal processor which processes and amplifies the incident acoustic waves. SOLUTION: A remote control unit 16 controls the operations of hearing aids 12 and 14 and also transmits the instructions and parameter sets selected by a user to both aids 12 and 14 to adjust the hearing aid characteristics against various environments. Then the unit 16 contains a programming socket 16a to input and store the programs or parameter value that can be selected by the user. A programming interface 18 is connected to a personal computer 18a to offer the programming codes and also the electric signals which are used by the plugs 18b and 18c to program the aids 12 and 14 and the unit 16 respectively. |
