PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving system in an AC/DC dual current vehicle, in which a secondary voltage of a main transformer can be made higher. SOLUTION: A driving system in an electric vehicle includes a main transformer 5, an AC/DC converting device 3, a PWM converter 10, and PWM inverters 22 and 23 to drive the electric vehicle on both an AC electric section and a DC electric section. Change-over switches 15 to 17 are operated in an interlocking way with the AC/DC converting device 3. The PWM inverters 22 and 23 are connected in series to an output of the PWM converter 10 in the AC electric section, while the PWM inverters 22 and 23 are connected to an output of the PWM converter 10 in parallel. |
