The stocking bandage to give a local surface temperature reduction of a limb, forms a tubular body (1) with two walls (100,200). They form at least one compartment (300) to hold an inert thermal material. The bandage is shaped so that, when rolled in place, the centre section is convex identical to the convex profile of the calf. The inert thermal material is a polyurethane gel, contained in a sealed pocket of an expanding thermoplastic, and especially polyethylene hermetically sealed by heat welding.
