ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD AND DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image fogging and blurring, to enable the formation of bright image and to facilitate the exchange of photoreceptor by specifying the light transmittance of layers laminated on a charge generating layer. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor which is constituted by providing the surface of a transparent substrate with a photoconductive photosensitive layer successively laminated with at least the charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer and is of <=50% in the light transmittance at the wavelength 500 to 850nm of the layers laminated on the charge generating layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor to be exposed through this transparent substrate is used. A general method for attaining the light transmittance of <=50% is conceivably to add such a material which absorbs the light of the wavelength 500 to 850nm into the charge transfer layer. The light transmittance of <=50% signifies that the total light quantity of the wavelength 500 to 850nm is reduced to <=50%.
