PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain a stable copied image without causing a selective development by incorporating at least a binder resin and a specified charge controlling agent into an electrostatic charge image developing toner. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner contains at least a binder resin and a charge controlling agent. The charge controlling agent is an imidazole deriv. expressed by formulae I to IV. In formula I, each of R1 to R4 is hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, aryl group or aralkyl group and it may be mutually the same or different. In formulae II, III, each of R5 to R7 is hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, aryl group or aralkyl group and it may be mutually the same or different, and X is a halogen atom, hydroxyl group or univalent ion residue. In formula IV, each of R9 , R10 is hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, aralkyl group, or aryl group which may have substituent, and it may be mutually the same or different, and R8 is an alkyl group, aryl group or aralkyl group each of which may have substituent. |
