PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the execution of unexpected action of office equipment, when erroneous designation is executed by fixing previously set standard information for designating information, when plural bits of designation exist and setting the operation condition of the office equipment, based on the fixed disignating information. SOLUTION: The presence of the abnormality of data transmitted by a menu sheet reader 2 is discriminated. When designation repeated because of an error by a person entering a mark in a menu sheet is detected and a mode switch SW1 connected to a main control unit 101 is set in the position of P (priority order specification), the data is corrected on priority order previously set. When the mode switch SW1 is set in the position of D (an abnormal display), a required character is displayed in a message display unit 106 in an operational board and an error flag FERR is set for one. When the mode switch SW1 is set in the position of N (a standard mode), a selecting mode for the size of a recording paper is set in a previously set standard state. |
