摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain a large holding capacitor with a small area and to reduce the size of elements by forming a semiconductor region of a relatively high concn. which is the one terminal of the holding capacitor below a reflection electrode and electrically connecting this region to a wiring layer which applies constant potential on the outer side of a pixel region. SOLUTION: A P-type doping region 8 is formed on the substrate surface on the inner side of an aperture formed at a field oxidized film. The reflection electrode 9a is formed via an insulating film on the surface of this region 8. The holding capacitors is constituted between this electrode 9a and the P-type doping region 8. The P-type doping region 8 constituting the one terminal of the holding capacitor is so formed as to be continuous with the P-type doping region of the adjacent pixel in the direction parallel with a gate line 4. The region is connected by a contact hole 71 to a power source line 70 disposed on the outer side of the pixel region and the prescribed voltage is impressed thereon.</p>
