Feeder belt for locating buttons on garment - has transfer arm for moving buttons from conveyor belt

A number of button feed units are located on parallel support bars (22) such that a garment underneath can be provided with all the required buttons at the same time. Each unit has a button lifting duct from where, via a slide (15) the buttons fall onto an inclined conveyor belt which is provided with location recesses (24). Buttons which fail to locate inside a recess return to the lift duct due to a magnetic vibrator (10). At the top of the conveyor belt (8) a button is moved by a transfer mechanism (18, 19, 21) to its final position (23). A location bolt (20) ensures that the belt stops at the correct position for the transfer operation. All feed units are governed by a central control.
