A stranded wire conductor comprises a thermoplastic-coated core wire surrounded by outer wires that adhere to the thermoplastices coating. The undesirable (and sometimes unnoticed) 'fanning-out' of the outer wires during mounting and connecting e.g. onto a circuit that can cause shorting or wrong connections is avoided. Once the outermost insulation is stripped, the outer wires cannot 'stand away' from the wire bundle as a whole. No tin-coating is required, hence high flexibility.
|
