PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a liquid crystal display device capable of yielding this liquid crystal display device having a high display grade and high reliability. SOLUTION: A transparent conductive film is formed on an electrode substrate 1 and display electrodes 2 and external connecting terminals 3 are formed by a photolithography method, etc. An oriented film 4 is formed on the display electrodes 2 and thermoplastic resin films 5 are formed on the external connecting terminals 3. The films are then subjected to an orientation treatment by a rubbing method. A pair of electrode substrates 1 are stuck to each other via seals 6 and parting and injection of the liquid crystal material 7 are executed, by which the liquid crystal display panel is obtd. Next, an anisotropic conductive material prepd. by dispersing conductive materials 9 into a binder resin 8 is applied on the external connecting terminals 3. Connecting terminals 10 of peripheral parts are disposed on the anisotropic conductive material. The thermoplastic resin films 5 are softened and fused by executing thermal press bonding, by which the conductive particles 9 easily penetrated through the thermoplastic resin films 5. The external connecting terminals 3 and the connecting terminals 10 of the peripheral parts are thereby electrically connected, by which the liquid crystal display device is obtd. |
