PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with subsequent learning for capacity decrease by setting the lock-up control command initial value to the value without slip rotation, reducing the command value in a first coasting time lock-up state, and correcting with the command value either generating slip rotation or clear enough to avoid an engine stalling and to prevent slip rotation. SOLUTION: In an A/T controller 9, the initial value is set to the control command value clear enough to generate no slip rotation on the basis of signals from engine and turbine rotation sensors 11, 12, and the like, and in the case of a specific flag of a control memory being cleared, upon getting into a first coasting L/U state, the control command value is reduced immediately and in a very short time. Upon reaching the control command value either generating slip rotation or clear enough to avoid an engine stalling and to prevent the generation of slip rotation compatibly, the value at that time is used as the reference value after being corrected taking account of individual dispersion so as to be kept in a range where subsequent learning is hardly generated. |
