PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal cell eliminating a paralax while securing high light availability and a wide view angle by thinning at least a transparent substrate existing in the inside of a liquid crystal cell and its manufacture. SOLUTION: The outer surface of the transparent substrate 51 is ground, and the thickness of this transparent substrate 51 is reduced to nearly 100μm. After such a grinding, the outer surface of the transparent substrate 51 is performed with etching processing as followed, and the thickness of the transparent substrate 51 is reduced to nearly 50μm further. That is, an annular frame body made of acrylic resin W is prepared, and this frame body W is glued onto the outer surface of the ground transparent substrate 51 by acid-resistance adhesive. Thereafter, an etching fluid L is poured into the frame body W. Thus, the outer surface of the transparent substrate 51 is etching processed by the etching fluid L, and the transparent substrate 51 is thinned.
