PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the user to easily hear a sound reproduced from a low speed recording by recording sound onto a magnetic tape at a low speed, reproducing the sound at a faster speed than it and outputing while reducing silenced parts and expanding voiced parts. SOLUTION: An input audio signal is amplified by a line amplifier, an AC bias current is added to the amplified signal at a bias oscillation circuit via a recording compensation circuit and a recording amplifier and the resulting current is fed to a magnetic head. Then the signal is continuously recorded on a magnetic tape at a tape speed that is 1/7 of the speed of the VHS EP mode. In this reproduction, a detection signal by the magnetic head is amplified by a reproduction amplifier 7, processed at a speech speed conversion processing section 9 via a reproduction compensation circuit 8 and an external voice output is obtained via the line amplifier 10. In the speech speed conversion processing section 9, the tape is fed at a speed higher than that at recording, silence parts are eliminated to be a degree not loosing the sense of neutrality and the heard voice words being voiced parts are expanded for time base by the eliminated parts so as to slow down the speech speed within a real time for the reproduction. |
