The maize pick-up equipment (1) conveys the crop inside the machine to a grain-elevator which feeds into a container (3). The grain container has a discharge-screw (4). Vibrator-screens (5) and a sieve (6) are incorporated. A shredder (7) inserted in the grain-container (3) is positioned underneath the inlet from the elevator, and conveys the crop into a compartment with its base covered by extra metal plates (8, 9) forming a discharge slit. A crop discharge conveyor (11) is below the slit (10) and may be made of rubber. A pull-out trough has a sieve above it.
