<p>Keratin fibres are dyed by treating with an aq. compsn contg. >=1 peroxodisulphate (I), opt. after a preliminary effect of a tryptophan-contg. aq. soln. The process is partic. suitable for dyeing human hair in permanent blond and brown shades. wool can also be dyed. Sensitising of skin after hair-dyeing is prevented. Oxidative damage is reduced, e.g. cysteic acid formation after dyeing with (I)- contg. compsns. is increased from 0.25% to only 0.74%, compared to 1.89% in standard bleaching and 1.06% in oxidn. dyeing. The shades are level, fast and resist permanent waving.</p> |
