PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing roller capable of obtaing such images that are not lowered in density and can be surely reproduced as excellent images over a long term, even when it is used for a long time. SOLUTION: An electrical conductive elastic layer 3 is formed on the outside circumference of a good electrical conductive shaft 2. Then, one-component developer is carried on the surface of the layer 3 so as to form the thin layer thereof. By bringing the developing roller into contact with an image forming body or making it proximate to the image forming body in such a state and supplying the developer to the surface of the image forming body, a visible image is formed on the surface of the image forming body. In such a case, the layer 3 is provided with a resin component whose elongation percentage of a break time by the standard of JIS K7113 is <=10% on the surface part. |
