PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the speed irregularity of driving transmission to a transfer roller by a gear caused by the wear of the transfer roller so as to prevent the speed irregularity of the rotation of the transfer roller. SOLUTION: Rotary driving force from a driving source connected to the drum gear 32 of a photoreceptor 15 is transmitted to a transfer roller gear 24 connected to a transfer roller shaft 21 through a transfer roller driving gear 33, an idler gear 27, and rocking gear 26, so that the transfer roller 19 is rotated and driven. At this time, the roller 19 is worn, a distance between the centers of the photoreceptor 15 and the roller 19 is changed, and the gear 26 rocks in accordance with that, so that the gear 26 is always engaged with the gear 24 with a reference pitch circle; therefore, the rotation irregularity of the roller 19 to which the rotary driving force is transmitted through a gear train (gears 33, 27, 26 and 24), and the density irregularity of a toner image which is transferred to a transfer material can suppressed. |
