WAVEGUIDE TYPE OPTICAL MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the waveguide type optical module which can accurately adjust the temperature of a waveguide element. SOLUTION: The waveguide type optical module constituted by additionally providing a heater 7 and a temperature sensor 5 for temperature adjustment to the waveguide element whose wavelength characteristics depend upon temperature is provided with resin 11 for improving the heat conductivity between the temperature sensor 5 and waveguide element 2 in contact with the surface of the temperature sensor 5 and the surface of the waveguide element 2. The heat conduction of the resin eliminate the temperature difference between the temperature sensor 5 and waveguide element 2.
