摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a regenerative burner to have a durability irrespective of honeycomb shape or a pellet shape, facilitate its maintenance work, and reduce NOx by a method wherein a storing chamber storing the regenerative body is arranged at an end part spaced apart from a wall of a combustion chamber at a passage section, and a changing-over means is fixed to the storing chamber. SOLUTION: A passage 12 has a suspending section 12b bent substantially orthogonally from the rear end of a cylindrical main body 12a. A storing chamber H having regenerative body 20 with aeration characteristic is arranged at its end, a position spaced apart from a side wall 1a of a combustion chamber 1. Discharged gas passed through the furnace through a passage T and combustion air blown from a blower means are alternatively flowed in the regenerative body 20 for every 5 to 60 seconds by a changing-over means 30 (a ratio of a total area of the passage T through which the combustion air flows to a total area of the passage T through which the discharged gas is sucked: 0.1 to 0.5) which can be removably fixed to the storing chamber H, heated by discharged gas (approximately 1100 deg.C) and the combustion air is heated with the regenerative body 20 at a high temperature.
