PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral nonaqueous electrolyte battery, in which a temperature rise caused when a large current flows in the event of a short circuit, is surely prevented and battery characteristics during normal charge and discharge are not impaired. SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte battery in which a nonaqueous electrolyte is added to a generating element, comprising sheets of positive and negative electrodes wound together with separators sandwiched between them, the positive or negative electrode has an active material layer formed on the surface of a sheet-shaped current collector 12, and the current collector has a number of conductive parts 12b provided intermittently at narrow longitudinal intervals on a sheet of insulating film 12a, with positive temperature-coefficient resistance parts 12c provided between the conductive parts. |
