PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the flow rate distribution of a two-dimensional flow field rapidly with a simple operation. SOLUTION: A brightness cross-correlation value Rfg with a template image is calculated from an expression [1] below with an image part including tracer particles P1-P3 of a previous time frame as the template image for a later time frame. A minimum value Rmin of the brightness cross-correlation value is normalized by an expression [2] below, and a two-dimensional flow rate distribution is obtained by regarding that each image part in the previous time frame moved to each image part in the later time frame that the maximum value of the normalization value Rr indicates. In expression, Rfg=Σ|fi-gi|... [1], the number of picture elements of the template images and an image part is set as (n), 1<=i<=n is satisfied, fi indicates the brightness of the i-th picture element included in the template image, and gi indicates the brightness of the i-th picture element included in the image part of the two-dimensional flow field image of the later image. In expression, Rr=|(Rmin-Rmean)/Rmean|... [2], Rmin indicates the minimum value of the brightness cross-correlation value Rfg and Rmean indicates the average value of the brightness cross-correlation value Rfg.
