<p>The drive system is for use in surgical instruments having a cross staff head gear drive system, powered by means of a hand operated motor. The drive shaft of the cross staff head gear drive system has a tool attachment device. A hand grip device (20) attachhed to either the side (18) of the housing of the cross staff head gear drive system nearest to the tool attachment device (17) or to the hand operated motor (14) in a rotatable manner. The hand grip device (20) may be locked so it can adopt a variety of different positions.</p> |
