Refuse lorry with tiltable refuse container - has release mechanism for swivable discharge cover to container opening

The refuse lorry has a tiltable refuse container with a discharge cover swivably attached to the container at its upper edge. The discharge cover has an angled locking lever (31) which can be swivelled by an operating rod (26). The arm (29) of the lever which directly locks the discharge cover is hook-shaped and engages a locking pin (34) on the cover. This locking mechanism simplifies the discharging of refuse since special operation of the locking unit to open the cover is not necessary as the container is tilted.
