PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detecting method in which the connection defect of a connector can be detected by a method wherein whether a part across an ON-OFF switch and a load is on an open state or not is detected, the number of times of the open state per unit time is monitored and the ON-OFF switch is turned off when the open state is at the definite number of times or higher. SOLUTION: A power supply is supplied to a load 23 from a power-supply part 21 sequentially via an ON-OFF switch 41, a power-supply line 26, connectors 27, 28 and a power-supply line 29. A load open-state detecting means 51 detects whether a part across the ON-OFF switch 41 and the load 23 in an open state or not, a monitoring means 30-1 monitors the number of times of the open state per unit time on the basis of its detected result, and a control means 30-2 controls the ON-OFF switch 41 so as to be turned off when the number of times of the open state is at the definite number of times of higher. When the number of times of the open state is at the definite number of times or lower, a part across terminals of the conductors 27, 28 repeats a contact operation and a noncontact operation at comparatively long intervals. In this case, an arc or the like is not generated across the terminals of the connectors 27, 28, and the switch is not controlled so as to be turned off. In this manner, the contact detect of the connectors 27, 28 is prevented, and the reliability of the supply of a power supply is enhanced. |
