PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a password collation system which can be easily memorized by a user and also can secure both a security function and the convenience for the user. SOLUTION: When a point is indicated in a picture that is displayed on a screen of an input operation part 11, the coordinate data on the indicated point are sent to an enlargement processing part 13 via a control part 14. The part 13 refers to a management table of the hierarchical structure relation of pictures to be displayed to read an enlarged picture including the indicated point out of an image data storage part 12 and to display it. When this operation is repeated by plural times until a point is indicated in the final picture, the coordinate data are sent to a password collation means 20 together with the identification information on the final picture that is displayed after the end of the processing of a password input means 10. The part 20 compares the received identification information and the coordinate data with the identification information on the registered password stored in a password storage part 21 and a position coordinate range respectively and then decides the correct collation if both identification information are coincident with each other and the coordinate data are included in the positional coordinate range. |
