PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate the establishment of a communication path to a mail box in a host computer to confirm the arrival of information by utilizing the user-user information in a setup image in an ISDN communication protocol. SOLUTION: A network interface part 10 is connected to an ISDN line. A data terminal (DTE) interface part 11 executes a protocol of data communication which is connected to an E mail terminal 2-1 that is a data terminal or a host computer. When information that is defined between users is inputted, a user-user information setting part 14 generates a setup message. Further, a user-user information analyzing part 15 analyzes user-user information from the setup message that is received from a D channel. When the analyzed user- user information is a mail arrival message that shows the arrival of an E mail, a telegraphic message incoming notification processing part 16 notifies a DTE side of E mail arrival. |
