PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sensitivity, sharpness and processing speed by exposing a specified continuous web-like color diffusive transfer silver halide photographic material in image form, superposing it on an image receiving material, and performing a transfer by heating under a specified condition. SOLUTION: A continuous web-like color diffusive transfer silver halide photographic material having a photosensitive silver halide emulsion, a binder, a coloring developing agent capable forming a diffusive pigment and a photosensitive layer containing coupler on a support body 4-40μm thick having an aluminum thin film layer is exposed in image form. The photographic material is superposed on an image receiving material under the presence of 0.1-1 times the quantity of water required to swell all coatings of the photographic layer and all coatings on the side contact with the photographic material of the image receiving material containing a base and a mordant to be superposed on the photographic material in processing to a maximum, and heated at a temperature of 60-100 deg.C for 5-60 seconds. The diffusive pigment is transferred in image form onto the image receiving material, and the photographic material. is peeled from the image receiving material to provide a color image on the image receiving material.
