The apparatus housing has horizontal top and bottom panels and vertical side panels, with vertical recesses (2.1) provided at the side edges of the side panels, acting as fixing points for a handling device e.g. a pivoted handgrip. The vertical recesses can be formed via vertical profile sections of each of the side panels adjacent the corner edges (2) at both the front and rear of the housing, for attachment of the handling device in a number of alternate positions.
