<p>A bacterium detector with which food-poisoning bacteria can be detected and identified through a simple procedure, and which can be treated so as to be safely discarded without fail. The detector is characterized by having at least (a) a vessel (1) in which a medium for use in culturing a bacterium to be detected is held during the culture, (b) a bacterium-collecting part (6), (c) a means (3) for keeping the medium out of contact with the bacterium-collecting part until the culture, and (d) a means (9) for sterilizing the medium after the culture. The detector is portable and makes it possible to selectively culture and detect bacteria, especially food-poisoning bacteria, etc. without requiring skill. The detector, which may contain pathogenic bacteria such as food-poisoning bacteria, can be safely discarded without fail.</p> |
