The invention relates to a temperature-regulating block for laboratory thermostats. Said block comprises a receiving side with receivers in the form of recesses to enable to pick up large contacting areas in the lower sections of containers filled with sample liquid and at least a temperature-regulating device contacting the temperature-regulating block. The invention is characterized in that two types of receivers for different vessels are arranged in a regular surface grid in such a way that a receiver of one type lies respectively between four receivers of a different type.
