A drum (4) is rotarily driven on a horizontal axle and carries flail-like elements enclosed in a housing (2). A comb-type appliance (11) on the housing co-operates with the flail-elements which fit into the spaces (12) between the comb-tines. The comb type appliance is fixed to the housing and swivels on an axle parallel with the drum's axle, and can be set in different positions.
