The stand (1) uses an arrangement of telescopic and coaxial tubes. It has friction (2) - and weight-counterbalancing (3) adjustments. A stand tube (5) has a protruding bottom end (4). There ia a manually-operated adjusting component for friction and-or counterbalancing fitted on the protruding bottom end. The tube is joined above its bottom end to a stand unit (8) and the component can consist of a handwheel.
