The appts. to apply a continuous wet treatment process to fabric piece goods, as they pass round a drum immersed in a trough, has a process time setting system (12,15) which acts on the level (h1,h2) of the liquid (5) in the trough (4). Also claimed is an operation where the fabric process time is set by the level of the fluid in the immersion trough.
