An electronic card has a printed circuit board between card shields (107, 108). Tabs (109) on an edge of one shield engage recesses (110) on an edge of the other shield. The jointed shields of the card provide rigidity and resist bending and torsional forces. An I/O connector (101) is grounded without a separate ground contact. The tabs have an arcuate portion with a medial oblique projection which engages a ledge on the other shield near the recess to create a snap fit. A frame bar may be interposed between the shields.
